1. Who we are

Tockety is operated by Andrew Barber, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. If you have any questions about this policy, you can contact us at hello@tockety.com .

2. What data we collect

We collect the minimum amount of data needed to operate the service:

• Email address - provided voluntarily when you sign up for the waitlist or create an account. We use this to send you product updates and, once launched, to manage your subscription.
• Payment information - when you subscribe, payment is processed by Polar.sh. We do not store your card details. Polar.sh may collect your name, email, and billing address as required to process payments.
• Error and performance data - we use Sentry in the desktop application and on the website to capture crash reports and performance data. This may include device type, operating system version, and stack traces. It does not include personal information such as your name or email.
• Anonymous usage statistics - the desktop app can send us which features are used: for example whether time is logged to Jira or through an integration such as Tempo, how often the timer is stopped, whether logging succeeded, and the app version and operating system. Each installation is identified only by a random id that is not linked to your email, licence or device. We never receive issue keys, worklog descriptions, your Jira address or any credentials. You can switch this off at any time in Settings, Privacy; switching it off also stops crash reports and discards the random id.
• Basic analytics - we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. This is privacy-friendly, cookie-free, and does not track individual users or collect personal information.

3. How we use your data

• To notify you when Tockety launches on your chosen platform.
• To process payments and manage your subscription.
• To diagnose errors and improve the stability of the application.
• To respond to support enquiries.
• To improve the website and product based on aggregate, anonymous analytics.

We will never sell your data to third parties.

4. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services:

• MailerLite - to manage our email waitlist and send notifications. MailerLite processes your email address on our behalf. Their privacy policy is available at mailerlite.com .
• Polar.sh - to process subscription payments. Polar.sh handles your payment details securely. Their privacy policy is available at polar.sh .
• Sentry - to monitor errors and application performance in the desktop app and website. Sentry may receive technical data such as stack traces, device type, and OS version. Their privacy policy is available at sentry.io .
• Cloudflare - to host and serve the website and API, to provide privacy-friendly web analytics (no cookies, no personal data collected), and to store the anonymous usage statistics described above in aggregate form.

5. Cookies

This website does not use cookies or any form of local storage for tracking purposes. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie (__cf_bm) to protect against bots - this is not used for analytics or advertising.

6. Data retention

We retain your email address for as long as you remain on our waitlist or hold an active account. Payment records are retained as required by law. Error and performance data in Sentry is automatically deleted after 90 days. You can request deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing hello@tockety.com .

7. Your rights

Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR), you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Withdraw consent at any time.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
