> Time logging for Jira. A macOS menu bar timer that writes worklogs straight to Jira Cloud issues, with Tempo Timesheets as an optional integration.

Tockety solves a common problem for developers, engineers and project managers: forgetting to log time in Jira. It lives in the menu bar, lets you pick a Jira issue and start a timer in seconds, and writes the worklog to the issue's own worklog the moment you stop. No second tool is required.

## Integrations

- Jira Cloud (Atlassian): built in. Issue lookup and native worklogs via the Jira REST API.
- Tempo Timesheets: optional. Connect a Tempo API token and choose Tempo as the logging destination; worklogs then go through Tempo's API so Tempo accounts and work attributes are preserved. Required work attributes and the Tempo account are captured when you stop the timer.
- Each user logs to exactly one destination (Jira or Tempo), never both, so nothing is duplicated. Jira and Tempo keep each other in sync.
- More integrations are planned.
- Jira Server and Data Center are not supported. Jira Cloud only.

## Privacy and security

Tockety talks directly to the Atlassian and Tempo APIs from the user's machine. API tokens are encrypted at rest using the operating system keychain (Electron safeStorage). Tockety's own servers handle licensing and email only and never see Jira data, tokens or worklogs.
